Submit a new list for publication

If you would like us to host your own word list, please compile the form below to submit your list for publication on the site. List creators maintain all copyright, are credited by name and DOI, and can choose to remove their list from the site at any time.

Please ensure your submission meets the following requirements to be processed correctly.

Submission Guidelines

  1. File Format
    • Lists must be submitted as CSV files. Please use semi-colons not commas to separate values.
    • The first column of every CSV file must always include the words that make up the list.
    • The first row of the CSV file should include the field names (e.g., Frequency,  Word Type,  Example). The first column does not need a field name.
  2. Submitting Multiple Sub-Lists
    • If your list contains sub-lists, these are displayed on the site using tabs. Each sub-list should be contained and submitted within a separate CSV file.
    • File names should follow the format: [sub-list name]  [underscore]   [number]. The number indicates the order (from left to right) in which the sub-list tabs will be displayed on the site.
    • Compress all separate CSV files into a single .zip file when submitting.
  3. Example Submission
    For example, if you are submitting a list made up of five sub-lists, it should be uploaded as a .zip file containing the separate files, for example as follows:

    • Level 1 words_1.csv
    • Level 2 words_2.csv
    • Level 3 words_3.csv
    • Function words_4.csv
    • Phrases_5.csv
  4. File Requirements
    • CSV files must be properly formatted and free from errors.
    • The .zip file should not contain any other file types.
